This year I'm not really sure what I'm going to do I live 550 miles from my parents and me and my bf [if you can even call him that] are on weird terms so I don't really know if I wanna go to his family's house and get involved in a debate over Trump
Usually if I do go though, I'll make some of my homemade mac and cheese. And always gotta have mashed potatoes and gravy, corn and baked beans [my bf's family never has these things ]
I let my boyfriend go spend time with his family, and the only person I'm close to in my family is my mom and her husband is incarcerated 30 years so she goes and visits him for Thanksgiving.
I like how laid back it is though! It's definitely a lot more enjoyable than a stuffy family dinner that's unnatural to a lot.

Yes there's nothing worse than a stuffy family dinner where I have to tone down my personality and be Rated G I can do it but... I sit in silence and try to think about things to talk about i probably overthink it.
I used to have lots of Thanksgiving traditions with my family but they all died out with age. I'll be driving 18 hrs to Corpus Christi TX on Thanksgiving to visit my brother.
