It was only when police showed up that the situation de-escalated, and Derulo, 27, was then seen in a video obtained by TMZ emerging from the crowd and being taken back to his luxury car by a bodyguard.
The reason for the brawl — or what possessed Derulo to get involved — is not yet clear.
