The United States has power over every country in the world. Not absolute power but still. What the US does affects nearly everybody in the world. Especially when we're talking about climate change and the global economy

It usually also means that we have to implement their paranoid reduction of civil rights, buy into their overpriced weapons programs that aren't always better than what the competition offers and have to send troops to whatever war the US is about to start.
