Did you read the whole article though ? The guy was a huge racist, so there's little doubt he would have said that.

I read it and it literally says that there's zero proof he said that. Not sure how that translates to "little doubt"

Also, he used the N word a lot much like every other congressman with the goal of convincing them to approve his agenda. Y'know, like the civil rights act.

If you hold LBJ by current standards, then sure he was racist. But at the time he was the least racist white politician you could get.
