Albums were uploaded to YouTube a long time ago, though. For instance, TTT's standard edition was uploaded to Rihanna's VEVO. YouTube also counts as a streaming service and its as legitimate as Spotify so I don't see a problem.

Why is this frowned upon these days? Is it that different from other forms of streaming? It still generates (ad) revenue and contributes to streaming points, doesn't it?
