Albums were uploaded to YouTube a long time ago, though. For instance, TTT's standard edition was uploaded to Rihanna's VEVO. YouTube also counts as a streaming service and its as legitimate as Spotify so I don't see a problem.

Unless they have exclusivity deals, most albums get uploaded on artist's official channels when they're released.

Why is this frowned upon these days? Is it that different from other forms of streaming? It still generates (ad) revenue and contributes to streaming points, doesn't it?
