Yes, i know, some people still have afros, but they're not as popular as they were in the 70s/80s. What I meant was that,if they should become a "trend" again.
Yes they should. Black kids need to know that their natural hair is beautiful the way it is and that they shouldn't need to straighten their hair and/or subscribe to European standards of beauty in order to be loved and accepted.
There has been a natural hair wave movement occurring for the last 3 years or so. Afros are everywhere, they are just more stylistic than traditional the 70s afro.
