Millennial Trump supporter gives her reasons for voting
4:00 - says she researched both candidates and thought Hillary was a bigger racist and she thought both Hillary and Trump were equally sexist despite Trump's comments, but reassures that she didn't vote for Trump in primaries
9:40 - is against gun control bc it's fun to go out and shoot targets and that gun control won't stop crazy mass shooters
10:00 - says abortion should be a local matter
10:40 - says she's not racist but believes immigrants should come here legally. Circumvents questions about children whose parents come from other countries and are not technically "legal", but says that Trump will work with those people day by day if they really want to be citizens.
13:00 - LGBTQ matters should be voted on locally. Circumvents questions of Pence's stance and gay conversion therapy, etc but says she's not against the LGBT community. Thinks Trump and Pence won't be able to act on their vows to remove LGBT rights.
16:15 - in response to his promises to revoke LGBT rights, says "people don't want to give Trump the benefit of the doubt just because they dislike him as a person"
18:35 - In regards to Trump's stance on climate change, says that it's something that most people aren't educated on but believes Trump will try to elect into his cabinet someone to teach him more about it.
20:28 - In regards to defunding Planned Parenthood, says she believes we need a better alternative to Planned Parenthood. Despite the fact that lower income families use it to their advantage, she still doesn't like that the founder of Planned Parenthood originally started it to stop lower income families from having children, doesn't like that sex traffickers use it to force women to get abortions, etc. Realizes it's useful to some people but as for it being government funded, she sees why people don't think it should be funded.
26:30 - What do you as a female, millennial Trump supporter, want people to know about you? "I didn't vote for Trump, I voted for his policies. I voted for the supreme court because I wanted it to be even. I didn't vote for him based on how I view certain people, communities or cultures... It's important to remember that a lot of people who voted for Trump, didn't want to vote for him but he was the best option for them."
She seems intelligent enough. However, I disagree with her on most of her points, and she doesn't seem to care about the people who were offended by Trump and will suffer from his "policies".
But I think it's important that once the dust settles, that both sides of this unfortunate coin work together to understand each other so we can hopefully get it right in 2020.
She's so unintelligent Maybe it's because I contrast each and every one of her points and fail to see how someone can be so careless about the lives of others while seemingly ignoring her privilege, idk. I just see all conservatives as being dumb as a brick. Haven't had one prove me wrong, yet.
