So everytime there's a thread about Melanie on this site I only see hate and bad things said about her. I went to her concert at Aula Magna here in Lisbon last week, and I'm here to praise her for a change!
First of all, I'm not a 'crybaby' or whatever, but I had listened to her album a lot this last year and genuinely thought it was amazing. The whole concept of the album, her visuals, the toy sounds and the cute/dark and creepy combo of the record made me a fan.

I actually didn't know she was coming here until 2 months ago, and about 20 days before the concert I found people on twitter who were selling tickets (it was sold out) for a cheap price. I got them and went with a friend to the concert.
This was my first concert ever and I had so much fun! She was good live (eve though I think she was sick, her voice cracked a bit at times) and her stage props are really cute. Her fanbase wasn't too bad either, I was worried about people pushing each other but our venue had rows of seats so even though everyone standed up when she started there wasn't any pushing. You can tell she's shy because she doesn't interact a lot with the crowd but it was still a very enjoyable show!
Here's a video that I recorded at the concert of the song Cake. She left after performing Mad Hatter but then returned to play Cake, which I was really happy about because it's my favorite song on the album
Get into her guys! Her album is amazing
