The Rs are going to freak at this. One of their first was things to focus on was to repeal Obamacare in all its form. Wonder if they'll settle for keeping some bits.

Misleading thread title. He's considering leaving the pre existing conditions clause and the clause that lets kids stay on their parent's insurance.

I still can't get over anyone thinking a viable alternative is to propose a health savings account...most Americans have less than $1000 in their savings account let alone asking them to pay into an HSA (it's money that's not taxed but it's also money that can only be used for medical purposes)

I just checked. It takes a 60 vote supermajority to repeal Obamacare (http://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/10/up...leak.html?_r=0) which they obviously do not have.

Keeping it and watering it down through amendments is their only option. I'm pretty sure if they could repeal it, they would. This isn't Trump being progressive or liberal.
