A gay man was reportedly attacked by Trump supporters on Election Night in Santa Monica.
Chris Ball of Calgary was watching poll results at a bar in the Southern Californian city when he says things became more tense as the the evening wore on.

“People started launching homophobic slurs at me from afar,” he told Metro. “They were saying things like, ‘We got a new president you f*cking ******s.’”
“I mean, I kind of got into it, but I didn’t want to provoke them.”

Ball says he left the bar alone and was jumped by a group of men, one of whom hit him over the head with a bottle. He reeled backward, hit his head on the concrete and passed out.

When he awoke, he called friends who took him to the hospital, where he received five stitches. But, says Ball, the wound looks worse than it was.
“When I came to, I remember waking up and wiping the blood from my eyes,” he explained. “I called some friends, they picked me up and I went right to the hospital.”
“I’m in pretty good spirits. That’s just how I have to handle it,” he said. “I’m alive and well and still very gay.”
Sounds just like the last gay guy who said he was gaybashed and it turned out to be a lie
