The good sis Chemical X also reminded me of how lit pop culture was when Bush was president and I think it had to do with ppl wanting to forget their current state by living vicariously through artists

But so many things have changed since the 2000s era. The industry is over streaming took over. Pure pop seems to be dying. Celebrity means something different because of social media so stars dont seem like stars anymore. Escapism may come in another form but I dont really know if it will be the pure pop we love

It isn't gonna happen popstars are lowkey over. Music consumption is democratic nowadays and the youth of today aren't forced to buy what stores carry like we all were when we were kids.
