Why wasn't Janet able to make a comeback like Mariah & Madon
Ever since the Superbowl, Janet hasn't really recovered from the backlash and her legacy has basically been erased. Even her predicted comeback unbreakable recivied lukewarm reception and the tour was canceled.Meanwhile Mariah was able to have the biggest comeback of all time after the critical and commercial failures glitter and charmbracle with emancipation of mimi. She had the best selling album that year and song of the decade. Madonna had two come backs after sufferinf from back lash from the erotica and american life eras. with ray of light and confessions
On dance floor which were critically acclaimed and produced WW hits. Why were her peers able to recover but not Janet? Discuss.
Mariah's backlash/meltdown was nothing compared to Janet and the superbowl so that's out of the question. Janet and the superbowl was not only bigger than Madonna and her antics but she also had the disadvantage of being a black woman. She was bound to get it worse because of that alone. She couldn't comeback immediately even if she wanted to, which I honestly don't think she did. She was blacklisted from most of everything.
