She's half-black. But according to the one drop rule she's black. Is she allowed to say it? Or it is it based on skin complexion?
In perspective Drake is half black and grew up Jewish in a privileged setting. He says the word with no issue, yet he's not even American where the word has the most stigma attached to it.
Well as someone who is not black I don't think I could have a really say, but Halsey by chance has a lighter skin color, if she was darker skinned no one would question it. As far as I know she is half black, identified in that way, and grew up in two different cultures, so I don't see the issue with her saying it
Atrl doesn't understand that here in the hood everyone says the n word, its very universal. Most of you guys need to leave your suburban neighborhoods and visit the slum of your city's. Broaden your horizons and expand your cultural knowledge people!
No one should, I mean even black people saying it all over the place are just motivating others to say it. Then the complaining comes around.
It's a cycle, so even if she's half black she should just avoid it.
Black people in Pop Culture use the term ''N**ga'', not ''******''.
This is such an ignorant statement that you've made, you guys as non-blacks don't understand the origin, because your parents never taught you the difference between ***** and ******.
Anyone can say that word. You can say any word you'd like. But what people don't understand is that you might be criticized for using it, especially if it's used in a racist or discriminatory way. If you can't take the criticism, then don't use it.

Can you please tell me the difference then? I always thought they mean the same and the latter was just more formal. Can rap fans say the former n world then?
