I'll give a freebie: The could be using pre recorded vocals to protect themselves from the damage that singing too much can do to their vocal chords. However, trying to convince the audience that you are singing live (using a dead mic) is just plain deceitful.

Anyway she isn't wrong, I understand if u do it a little, but Beyonce for example does it all the time, it takes away from the thrill of a live performance, so she wants to BE perfect or to look perfect ? Because being perfect would mean she actually sings. I understand most people don't realize, but I for one do. Take her Drunk in love Grammy performance.... her live vocals at the end sound totally different from her "live vocals" in the beginning. And the ones at the end are shakier, but better cuz it's supposed to be live.
