Temporary Paramore replacements announced

Hot off of Twitter! Hayley Williams has confirmed that Justin York will replace former guitarist Josh Farro and John Freese is replacing Zac Farro on their upcoming tour of South America.

At present, no permanent replacements have been announced. Hayley however did go on to state that neither Justin nor John will be the permanent replacements. Justin previously played with Paramore on their oceanic tour of 2009 replacing Josh Farro and has also toured with them as part of the support band Relient K. John Freese has experience playing with Guns N Roses, Queens of the Stone Age and Lostprophets amongst other big rock bands.

Earlier in the week, The Farro's released a statement criticising former bandmate and current Paramore lead singer Hayley Williams, describing their experience in Paramore as 'riding on the coattails of 'Hayley's dream'. You can read the full statement below:

Many people are only here for Hayley anyways.

Yeah, Haley is the one who stands out anyway, so I don't think Paramore will be that different. I do feel bad for the people who are huge fans of the Farro's.

I was only there for Hayley, but maybe the Farro's help out with writing the album and stuff. So I hope the next album is just as good.

I'm confident they won't I'm pretty sure they're pretty sour about it all, and only mentioning Paramore at all to get a little attention after leaving. But yeah, hopefully they'll be just as good, since Josh Farro co-wrote Riot and Brand New Eyes except for like two songs with Hayley, and co-composed All We Know Is Falling's songs. It'll be interesting to see if it shifts the style of the music, but all I really know is that I pray the new album is good.

I don't see why they wouldn't still be successful, it used to be *VERY* common for members of a band to be replaced. LEAD SINGERS have been replaced in the past, too. And the bands have still been very successful. I think generally, most of us listen to and love Paramore because of Hayley. She's the vocalist, songwriter, etc. If she were to leave, then yeah, it'd become a meaningless flop, but as long as Hayley is a part of the band, I'm going to continue to love and support their music.

Anyway, I'm glad they found replacements. While I loved Josh and thought he was adorable, it must have been really awkward considering his past relationship with Hayley and the fact that he just recently got married. Plus, I could kind of sense over the past year or so, that Josh and Zac weren't as into the band as they used to be. So I can understand why they left. I just hope Paramore continues to be successful and there are no hard feelings.

To be honest, Haley should go solo already. She can do great on Pop!

Josh and Zac are so bitter. All lead singers get the attention, and Hayley took the opportunities she was given and suddenly they feel their riding on her "coattail"? That's their own issue if they want stand in her shadow, why should she be held back by those lessors

Am I the only one who likes and is a fan of the Farro brothers? Because I'm really sad they left Paramore. But yeah, like one said above, it's very awkward to be in a band with your ex-girlfriend and you already have a wife.

Is there a big band that Josh Freese has NOT performed with? The man is such a drum*****. I'm not complaining, he's an awesome drummer and should make Paramore performances more interesting for the time being. But geez, give him enough money and I'm sure he'd consider drumming for Simple Plan.
