The funny thing is, no one cares about the politicians who formally supported him. This kind of critical thinking isn't something humans are known for when it comes to these things. In a perfect world, Trump, the Republican party, and his supporters should be blamed. But it'll be Trump only, even though we all knew he was like this.

That's not exactly true, though.
GOP politicians are withdrawing endorsements and issuing statements and it's pissing off Donald's voting base like crazy. Paul Ryan was heckled at an event for "not standing by Trump," and some people think congresspeople like McCain could lose re-election bids for coming out against Donald. Jon Voight is making news for calling these Republicans "turncoats."
Then you have other cases, like Ayotte in New Hampshire. Just days ago she said that Donald was "absolutely" a role model for children. Her opponent already has ads running and it's gonna lose Ayotte the election.
Then there's the fact that on Tuesday, people were saying Pence was trying to maneuver into position for 2020, but I think his association with Trump will keep him from elected office forever.
It may not permeate national media, but on a state-by-state basis, there will be consequences for at least some of the people who supported Donald.
On top of all that, there's considerable outrage from independents and Democrats (especially on social media) that these Republicans stood by through all the racism, sexism, anti-Muslim, anti-gay, anti-immigrant sentiments, the mocking of disabled people, the disrespect towards veterans...
