As many of you have seen in past threads, Swifties are trying it with Adele. They're trying to downplay A's work and keep comparing 25 with 1989.

Why are they acting like this?

The irony of you making this thread. Coklek92 isn't representative of all swifties, most of us respect and enjoy Adele's music and artistry.

Some people do it because ATRL was desperate to downplay Taylor's success when Hello dropped. They all bandwagoned Adele and threw silly shade at Taylor thinking they're cool or something

Swifties don't hold anything against Adele I can assure you. Many of us love both talented women and their respective discographies.

OT: I think Adele is a wonderful person and you're making a huge generalization.

Let's not when Adele's entire comeback last year was shrouded in a sentiment of "thank GOD a ~real~ vocalist is back and someone other than Taylor is topping the charts" and everyone was posting that gif of Taylor smirking at her at the Golden Globes. It was the same exact thing as when she was pushed as the "anti-Gaga" when 21 blew up.

Nobody actually cares about Adele. If they did, they wouldn't have to compare her to every other singer just to make her seem superior.

This thread is asking about Adele in general. I'm just saying that if Adele never "happened" then Taylor would have the best-selling female album for this decade (I think).

If Adele wasnt happened, Taylor success will be much more impressive, like light year ahead of everyone in this generation. So i admit im kinda pressed.

But i love Adele and some of her songs, and most of the Swifties are like that too. So no stan war, please, they both the leading artist in our generation.

I guess the Swifties are just sad that they can't try and claim their fave as being the best anymore

Ok?? And even with Adele's prevalent success that doesn't take away from Taylors. Taylor has sold over 40M albums, over 80M singles, and has grossed half of a billion dollars on tour. Both women can be successful, jealousy isn't ALWAYS the reason people might dislike music. People are so quick to label someone a "hater" just because they don't like the music of another artist when all music is subjective.

We don't stan Ash Ketchum, Taylor's theme isn't to be the very best like no one ever was

She's sold 52 million albums this decade but sure
