Actress and comedian Amy Schumer topped the 10th annual list of the most dangerous celebrities to search for online. Intel (which sells McAfee antivirus software) ranks how likely you are to encounter malware or a computer virus when searching for the names of different celebrities.
Schumer, the popular star of “Trainwreck” and “Inside Amy Schumer,” was the riskiest search on the 2016 list. Intel estimates a search for her name carries over a 16 percent chance of connecting with a site that carries viruses or malware.
#2 Justin Bieber
Singer Justin Bieber came in second on Intel’s list. Search for his name online, and there’s a 15 percent chance you’ll encounter sites that harbor viruses or malware.
Carson Daly
Tied for #3: late night host Carson Daly.
Will Smith is tied on the list with Carson Daly. Searching for their names online carries about a 13 percent risk of encountering malware.
At #5 on the list, Rihanna is a popular celeb for hackers to hide behind.
Miley Cyrus clocks in at #6.
Comedian, actor and TV host Chris Hardwick is #7 on the Intel list.
Daniel Tosh, host of Comedy Central’s “Tosh.0,” is #8.
Selena Gomez
Rounding out the top 10 are two hugely popular music stars, including Selena Gomez.
Kesha tied with Selena Gomez to round out the list of the top 10 most dangerous celebs to search for online.
