I just assumed the first post was being dramatic like most ONTD posts.

That was such an almighty, dramatic drag, but he backed every insult he flung at Mendes with receipts and/or reason for why he despised the album so much. I'll actually be subscribing now.

Well, that's the entire point. He almost immediately pointed out that he can somewhat stomach/understand shameless pop pandering like with one direction. If you're going to do the same thing but masquerade it as some serious pop album, you deserve all the dragging you get.
