Perhaps the "ALM" crowd can actually start doing something and merge into one with the BLM movement using a new slogan altogether, All Lives Can't Matter Until Black Lives Matter.

What are your thoughts? Would a new slogan be effective at this point of time or do you think it's too late to change the negative perceptions and misunderstandings associated with the movement?

You'd be VERY surprised. A lot of white people, including myself, didn't necessary know what Black Lives Matter meant and what their true purpose stood for. I totally understand it now, but a name change might be necessary so you get way less people saying All Lives Matter that don't understand what BLM actually stands for.

Hell, Black Lives Matter Too would be very effective IMO.

Playing devil's advocate, I like 'All Minority Lives Matter'. I think that's the most inclusive for all the right reasons. White people don't need to be involved because white people aren't oppressed [for being white]. However, black people aren't the only minorities who are oppressed.

But looking at the context without being inclusive just for the sake of being inclusive, putting the emphasis on Black Lives Matter does need to be done right now since it's still a huge problem (in the US, in particular) with police brutality, innocent black lives getting taken and casual racism.
