Teenage Dream (song) is grossly average
Sonically speaking. The fact that ATRL's pop perfection Teenage Dream is the guitar part, 15 secs of Circus repeated over & over.
Cut 0:34-0:50, then paste, & you get this.
The complexity & dynamic of Circus > the repetitiveness of Teenage Dream

The guitars in the songs are playing completely different chords. So no.
But yeah it's overrated.

I definitely get more life from the pre-choruses of Circus than all of Teenage Dream, yes!

The great thing about TD isn't the guitar; it's the chorus -- which is much bigger (and more enjoyable) than Circus.
