why would they let an artist that can barely get a top 10 hit do the superbowl halftime show? it will have a low rating. They need to get Taylor or Rihanna.
I don't have anything against her, but it was strange that people thought she'd even be considered. I haven't heard anyone talk about her music IRL in like 5 years.
Well it would have honestly been a bad choice. Her comeback seems to be a huge flop, no shade, it's just not working, the fact people doesn't seem to show any interest for Gaga after only 7 years in the industry is worrying for her future career. It'd not be clever at all to select her. There are better choices, a lot of female pop singers could do the SB : Rihanna, Britney, Taylor Swift, Adele, Shakira etc...
Tbh, if she was actually gonna do the SB I'm sure her album release schedule would have been modeled around it. It wouldn't make much sense for a pop star whose career is in critical condition to release their single/album 3-4 months before doing the Superbowl.
Releasing the lead single on SB weekend, performing it there and putting out the album shortly after would be the best thing that could happen to them.
Performing there after your album might have bombed a few months prior, however...
