It seems like lately several established stars in the music biz (barring a select few) have been struggling to succeed w/ their recent output while random singers w/ minimal substance keep scoring easy hits. While social media & streaming are partly to blame for this, the industry may wanna take responsiblity for encouraging what has become a disservice to their biggest stars & not properly marketing them as they should. It may also be part of the reason why record sales keep declining drastically.

So tell me, is this a wakeup call to the record biz to invest more in their veteran acts & on newer talent w/ true star potential?

Yes

only if they deserve it... some veterans have zero talent so the geepee no longer cares, but some others deserve more recognition and respect
