2,750 people complained to Ofcom over racy performances

The X Factor final 2010 is set to be investigated by broadcasting regulator Ofcom - following complaints about performances by Rihanna and Christina Aguilera on the December 11 programme.

After over 2,750 complaints about the performances were filed Ofcom has now launched an investigation into the show, reports the Press Association.

Rihanna performed 'What's My Name?' on the programme, while Aguilera played 'Express' backed by a troupe of scantily-clad dancers. Watch footage of Aguilera's performance by scrolling down and clicking below.

Broadcaster ITV also received more than 1,000 complaints about the programme.

Actually Europe in general is a lot more liberal sexually than the United States.

The reaction would have been much worse in the US. The reason people complained was because the X Factor is supposed to be a family show. It didn't bother me at all, it's nothing we haven't seen before.

Well Xtina I can see, but RiRi was just wearing a revealing dress. I mean come on, the girls on Dancing With the Stars in America wear less than that and people seem to have no problem with it.

DWTS started here actually. Not only that but it still goes with skimpy outfits but it isn't considered a family show and those girls don't bend over like Xtinas dancers.

Double standards has **** all to do with it. Americas reaction to that on a family show, as Celestial said would have been much worse.
