University of Alabama student held on $1.5 million bond for Fentanyl trafficking




"Ashley Rose Newman, 21, is charged with trafficking in Fentanyl, unlawful possession with intent to distribute, three counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, first-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, said Tuscaloosa police Lt. Teena Richardson.

Richardson said agents recovered 23.3 grams of Fentanyl, a quantity of methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), amphetamine, cocaine HCL, marijuana and assorted drug paraphernalia.

Newman was taken to the Tuscaloosa County Jail where she is being held on bonds totaling $1.581 million. No other information was immediately available."
