I liked it, the acting, the story, the cinematography re on point. But like any Steve McQueen movies, I can't watch it more than once, it's so intense

Never watched it. I seen one part where they was beating the black guy and I turned that **** off so fast.

Haven't seen it and won't. Tired of slave movies. Show us black people like the kings and queens they are.

I hate movies about slavery, so I put off watching it for the longest. My cousin finally forced me to watch it with her and I walked away at one of the whipping scenes. I know it was CGI but it looked so real, and my heart just couldn't take it.

it's essential cinema but I could only watch it once

I think it's a well done good movie, but clearly it's not pleasant to watch considering the theme, it's very hard-intense, clearly not the kind of movie that you can watch more than once.
I think it's right to watch or make these movies like the ones about Nazism or others historycal delicate themes to be aware, to not forget and to not repeat those horrible mistakes.

It's a ****ing good movie

Its great. I watched it for the first time last year and was blown away. I wish my people would get the success and critical acclaim outside of roles and movies about slavery though.
