No, that has never happened to me probably because I avoid council estates but I did volunteer in a charity shop and there were lots of poor people there but I didn't have a second hand poverty experience.

There was a homeless man outside the multiplex over the weekend, and as it was so hot I gave him some money and some smokes. I didn't feel second-hand poverty, just sorry for his circumstances and thankful that I'm not in that position.
