For this very reason I identify as a pescatarian. My dad and I have a running joke about fish "not feeling pain" because there's really no logical way to excuse the murder of fish and not animals. I realize that it's just as bad of a murder, but I simply enjoy fish to a higher degree and am able to look past it the way meat-eaters do with regular animals.

People can do whatever they want - if they want to seriously reduce their dependence on meat in their diet they can feel free to do so in whatever way possible. If they don't want to top up their nutrition with vitamins, and instead find a natural remedy, even if it is a living creature, than so be it.

It's okay to do whatever they want, but that makes them anything but vegans or vegetarians. Fish and sea creatures are animals too.

I'm not vegetarian, but literally what? There's a HUGE difference between drinking milk or eating a chicken period and straight-up eating a dead cow.

I'm aware that the dairy industry is pretty messed up, but it's not the same thing as eating flesh. Some people have a huge problem with that.
