It comes with the regular EarPods you get from Apple & an adapter to put jacks for headphones in. Those are not even real. If anything they're a mock design done by a fan or early prototypes of the new AirPods.

It's basically coming with the same headphones you got with your 5S but this time also an adapater so you can listen to music. You have to buy the new AirPods separately and you can buy those in store starting October.

I will not be upgrading to the iP7. But I may be one of the very few who's excited about the airpods. Would it work with earlier models?

No. They use a new, proprietary technology. They even have a new chip called the W1. The AirPods don't use Bluetooth.

Really though, I don't think the AirPods are worth buying at their current price point. If you're looking for wireless headphones, seek a third party brand. Not Beats though

However, the AirPods do have some cool tech in them. Like infrared sensors they tell them if they're in the ear and will shut off if they're not. You can also activate Siri by touching them.
