For those who aren't too familiar with her case


Her case has never been solved for 20 years, both parents were suspected of the murder. It still isn't solved, but lately, there have been documentaries airing on TV, going more in depth into the case, and a TV movie will be airing on Lifetime later in the fall. For people who have followed the story for a long while, or maybe recently with all these recently news stories/documentaries, what are your thoughts on the case?

They cleared the parents I believe.

I'll watch the lifetime movie, lifetime movies are always interesting.

I can't believe they weren't able to solve this case. There was so much evidence. If the police department had been more competent and if the parents weren't immediately named as suspects (which I know is common, but still, they didn't even consider anyone else for a long time), they probably would have solved it relatively quickly. The case has gone too cold now. I don't think it'll ever be solved, unfortunately.

I don't think it will be solved either. And I too heard a lot of damning evidence: the mom's writing looking the same as the ransom note, pineapple found in JonBenet's body when there was a can of Pineapple on the table. Most recently, her brother has spoken out for the first time in 20 years.

I watched an E! documentary about it when I was 14.

I don't believe the parents killed ha. May she R.I.P; she was on her way to become a star but her light got dimmed by an insane person.

I believe in the theory that her brother killed her, and the parents covered up because they don't want to lose both children

Someone living in that house killed her. That much is for sure.

Did the say the killer would be 'revealed' in the TV Documentary? I've read a lot about the case, IIRC their neighborhood was really sketchy, over 100 robberies in the year alone and dozens of registered sex offenders living near them... The possibilities were endless.

I always had a hunch the parents had some sort of insight upon what occurred, the question of excessive physical abuse was cohesive for the most part, but I believe it couldn't be 'proven.'

A lot of the case was left unanswered or didn't really make sense. The crime scene wasn't properly managed as well, and was 'contaminated' within the process.

This case has always fascinated me. They were very well known in their area, and they often let people come through and look at Christmas decorations inside their house, someone likely cased the place and planned it.

"An innocent 6 year old child, raped, strangled, bashed in the skull and killed by people she knew in her own home, on the day after Christmas"
