My opinion is that there is no afterlife, so I would naturally say that no--the afterlife doesn't exist in outer space. Through what means would you expect our consciousness to just float somewhere else? It's hard-pressing that this kind of thing could happen conceivably because consciousness is thought to be a product of the brain, and not of some magical substrate that nobody has elucidated. There really is no evidence or logical train of thought to suggest that the consciousness floating somewhere else is a thing.

Yes, but these reports are highly inequivalent. Many people
do not have the experience of seeing light or heaven, or re-living life, in many instances. It is conceivable that these situations of seeing and reliving past moments are just the product of random noise in the brain.
Energy cannot be destroyed, yes, but rather converted to something else. The physical substrate of our bodies can be passed on as kinetic and thermal energy in the air, for instance.
