Former Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Nicholas Brendon has called the new Buffy reboot movie a "mistake".

"I think it's a mistake. They have to reach a whole completely new fanbase, and we already have that fanbase. So it's going to really be hard to do that. But you know everyone - they remade The Flintstones. Twice, I think," Brendon explained.

He added about the remake: "I hope their vampires don't glitter."

I agree with him. The remake will probably be all glamed up like Twilight :-\

Ugh. I am personally offended, as a fan of the series, that this is actually happening.

I agree 110% with Xander. Buffy doesn't need to update itself to fit in with these Twilight fricks.

I think he's right. This will be a big waste of money and everyone will be pointing fingers at who's idea it was to remake it without the original cast.

How? These are the roles they always had. The only questionable ones would be the vampires(Angel, Spike, Drusilla, and Darla) because vampires aren't supposed to age.

I actually find it cool to see another Buffy movie...just if it is with a dark tone instead of the comic one
