Minogue revealed she has been recording new songs to add to a reissue of her Kylie Christmas album, which originally surfaced last year.
The album, which made No. 7 in Australia, included duets with Iggy Pop, James Corden and her sister Dannii, as well as a new song written by Chris Martin of Coldplay.
“I’m working on various things,” she said of her musical plans. “We’ve got some really really good new additions to the Christmas album for this year. I have started work on new material, the way the year’s panned out I won’t have that much time to work on it but my brain’s working overtime.
“I’m so keen to get what’s in my brain out and turn it into what I hear in my head, make that a reality. So new music is really, consistently on my mind. I’ve opened the door and stepped into the room but I’ve yet to spend as much time there as I look.” The singer also revealed she has recorded an original duet with Robbie Williams; the pair last worked together on 2000s anthemic hit Kids.
The duet has been tipped to feature on Williams’ new album, due later this year, with his new record label Sony.
