Have you stayed in touch with your best friends from high school, college, junior high? Do you think its possible to remain best friends with your high school friends after?

Friends drift away after high school and college finish. They move way, get married... it is such a shame. School are the best years of anyones life because that is the time when you'll ever have the most friends around you. I still have many of friends, however I hardly see them due to their schedule... after school finishes you get more lonely.

High school - nope. One or two and it's minimal. Life goes on.

I do miss them though

Well this thread is depressing.

I haven't graduated high school yet, but I will next year and I'm a bit nervous to step into the college world. I'm definetely going to miss alot of people and even though I'll like the freedom of being an adult, I'm going to miss having my parents take care of my problems and Im gonna miss being in a school building enviornment and seeing the same people.

I tried to keep in touch but after a while she couldn't be bothered answering my messages/calls so whatever, her loss, I have new friends now. It just really hurts me to lose people I was once so close to

I can barely keep up with my elementary school friends. I just chat sometimes with them via Facebook. I've moved on and made High School friends.

But that's life.

I'm in Middle School and I still talk to some of my 'elementary' friends - some of them turned into Biebtards, so I got rid of them.

Out of all the 180+ people from school I knew, I only kept contact with 14, so yeah...

I am still in high school, but damn after seeing how far one of my friends and I got after middle school makes me scared for the rest after high school! But remarkably, I have had the same group of friends since 5th grade (now in 11th) and we hang out at our movie nights at least once a month.

I love them so much!

My graduating class was close to 300.. it was like 270 i believe.. and i only talk to about 10 of them at most now .. and i just graduated this past school year =X

Facebook does wonders, but i kinda lost interest in the people i went to school with ( as weird as that sounds )
and now thru work and other places i have met new people and try to hang out with new people as much as possible.. its fun and what not, its kinda like exploring new places

Life goes on. It's much easier when you go to school and you don't have to make an effort to see each other.

I think it also depends on the people though. Some people just get really caught up with college life and completely forget about everything before it, and some always make an effort to chat with their high school friends.
