From the ***** poppin' and beat droppin' - 2010 was a fun year in music. Now as we head into the final few weeks of 2010, it's time to reflect on the hot messes, to the messes that made **** hot during a year of music filled with a slew of new artists.
So sit your ass down and be sure to refresh my list for daily updates!! I'll also add analysis to every number on the countdown as well as the biting criticism you've come to expect from a Lem post.

- BAD ROMANCE SNUBBED @ GRAMMYS: REALLY? Rah-rah-ah-ah-ah! / Roma-Roma-ma-ah! / Ga-ga-ooh-la-la is the hook from Heaven. Regardless of how you feel about Lady GaGa, there is no denying that Bad Romance is such an amazing song that outshone, not just it's pop peers, but tons of other songs to close out 2009. Bad Romance was a clever production about the FIERCE passion and desperation for someone's love. To love someone and willingly accept all the horrible baggage that may come along with that love. Bad Romance is a ballad in lyrical structure but is transformed into a thumping pop song. While songs like 'Need You Know' and 'Nothing on You' are good - they lack the lyrical originality of Bad Romance in my opinion. Need You Now is a booty call song, Nothing on You is somewhat been there done that. Bad Romance was shafted and it's extremely disappointing.
- THE 2010 MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS: Like really? I'm not here for Kanye vs. Taylor Part 2. I guess MTV thought since it could recycle the same storylines on Jersey Shore over and over again that it could do it on the VMA's.
Chelsea Lately sucked as a host an Hayley Willams sounded a damn mess singing 'Airplanes'. Kanye West performing 'Runaway' at the end of the ceremony was not all that and it definitely wasn't the bone-chilling closing MTV was hoping for. NEXT BITCH.

- Life is a beach, I'm just playing in the sand. - Lil' Wayne (Right Above It) Considering Weezy's life, this is a really deep line that comes across as a playful line on the surface. Basically what he's saying is that life is hard, but for him, it's not.

- In the Dark - JoJo [From All I Want is Everything] This song is HOT! HOT! HOT! - a tasteful approach to being a booty call and wondering why you're so attracted to a man you only know "in the dark". The song mysteriously progresses through, as JoJo's voice shines in this track about lust. Too good.

- The Silence - Alexandra Burke [From Overcome Deluxe Edition] This song would definitely be higher up on the list if this was 2009, but now since it has the reworked edition - I'll include it now. Point blank, the song is hot. People don't sing or release songs like this anymore. Alex's vocals are out of this world and the climax of the song is bone chillingly good.

- Touchin' On My - 3OH!3 [From Streets of Gold] This song is so cute and really shows how production can be used to have a little fun. The song is kinda clever and while I don't really care for the group, I like this song a lot.

- Dang-A-Lang - Trina [From Amazing] This song is OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!! The sexual innuendo is hilarious!!! I was speechless after listing to this song.

- The Way You Love Me - Keri Hilson [From No Boys Allowed] (I'll have more on this song later in my countdown)....this song would make a stripper blush and while I don't condone Keri acting like she's in heat - the song is FIRE I just have to shake my ass every time I hear it..

- Brainwash - Simon Curtis [From 8Bit Heart] If you haven't heard this song, you have to just for the chorus. The song is mind bendy/trippy. Amazing!!!
I just wasn't feeling the performance because it just felt like it was trying to re-spark Kayne v. Taylor again.
