Actually to be honest, ATRL has approved my spelling been using and typing on this site for 9 years eventually it just became natural for me, I still don't spell fantastic, but I am much better now.
There's nothing wrong with "center". British elitism strikes again.
If you were to use 'center', 'color', 'rumor' etc. in an English exam in the UK, it would be marked as a spelling error and deduct from your grade.
It's not elitism, you just can't expect people to use it if it's going to have a negative effect on their education.
