We know that E•MO•TION has been released first in Japan (June 24, 2015) and then worldwide (August 21, 2015).
It has been certified gold in Japan thanks to physical copies alone (ORICON does not count digital sales), mainly thanks to I Really Like You, which was the highest selling single of 2015 in Japan.
The album sold about 15k in the US at its debut and peaked at #16.
E•MO•TION: Side B, which has zero singles and zero promo outpeaked the original album, reaching #8 and having a stable position at #9 since friday.
How many copies would have E•MO•TION sold in the US if released on June 24?
I feel like 50-60k would have been a realistic number, what do you guys think?
