I was watching a video of two girls DDing for makeup and found it very peculiar and reminded that there is a huge community of people who actually do this for food, clothes and basically anything that's sold at stores.
What is your opinion on the subject?
Would you do it? (In the most hygienic way possible)
It is what it is. When you don't have money to pay for basic things, you either dig through the trash or steal. At least the former isn't hurting other people.
When I was college there was a low income housing community across the street from where I lived. I threw away a bunch of items I no longer had use for and those people went on a shopping spree, right in the dumpster! I'm glad those items didn't go to waste
Depends on what...I couldn't see doing it for food, but I've seen videos of people on YouTube racking up like crazy diving behind places like Best Buy. I'm too lazy to bother, but I wouldn't care if somebody gave me a brand new iPad they fished out of a dumpster. Now, we will FIGHT if you serve me a plate of food and then told me after the fact you fished that **** out the trash tho.
I work at a store that dumps so much stuff. Sure, if you want to sort through muck and customer's trash then go ahead by my guest. There was a recall in one of the baking ingredients we used for our cupcakes and we had to through almost 100 dozen cupcake packages, you know my ass took one of those packages home.
Anyways I think it's gross but if you're poor and/or homeless, do what you gotta do.
One time I went to throw out trash in my apartment complex and there was a girl and a guy inside of it picking through everything. I was like They weren't even embarrassed that I saw them lol

It's legal in most states unless it's in a fenced area or there is a "No trespassing" sign and if it's not in a private area (obviously) but the store owners can prosecute the diver for trespassing or theft, at least Ulta does that.
