A new TV show called The Stream is launching in Norway, with Warner, Universal, Sony and Spotify all involved. The premise will be new acts releasing original songs and the labels each week and their progression in the show will depend on the number of Spotify streams they get.

Streaming truly is taking over. I like this idea, it's interesting. Hope it does well enough for the format to reach the UK & USA etc.

This just made me though.. can you imagine if they did this for xfactor.. the most streams artists songs get through the only problem is tweens with "cute" boyband .. a shame really

It's an amazing idea,unfortunately a cute guy/boy band will win since their fans are little teens who will be streaming his/their songs like their lifes depended on it
