Sia is hit with $2.1 million class action lawsuit after ticket buyers in Israel complain they couldn't even SEE her on stage
She's been playing to delighted audiences around Europe on her Nostalgic For The Present Tour. But it seems Sia's fans in Israel were underwhelmed by her performance at Tel Aviv's Yarkon Park on Thursday. They were so disappointed that a group filed a class-action lawsuit on Monday asking for a refund of the 344 Israeli Sheqels ($91) they paid for lawn seats at the park, the*Jerusalem Post reported.
The fans claimed the Australian pop star's gig was too short at 65 minutes while*the megatron screens that usually show on-stage action screened a prerecorded video instead.
The footage featured Bridesmaid actress Kristen Wiig and Gaby Hoffman, from hit Amazon series Transparent, as dancers, even though they weren't on stage. The 40-year-old Cheap Thrills singer herself apparently stayed way back on the stage and didn't engage with her fans at all, according to the Post.
As fans, they knew what they were getting into when they bought tickets to a Sia concert. You can't even see her normally or on tv either, she's always in her wig. What were they expecting? They will not win and queen Sia remains unbothered.
wouldn't it be so #artpop and #reversewarholian if it's just a random girl lipping on stage to Sia's pre-recorded live vocals and Sia later says something to the affect of 'now THAT was acting' and nothing else
