"Black Olives Matter" merch on sale; causes uproar
Quote:
An Italian restaurant in New Mexico is drawing criticism on social media for making merchandise with a slogan mimicking the Black Lives Matter movement.
Paisano’s in Albuquerque is selling “Black Olives Matter” shirts and hats after making national headlines for putting the phrase on a sign outside the restaurant.
Paisano’s owner Rick Camuglia, who came under fire last month for erecting a Black Lives Matter-riffing sign to shill his olive tapenade, recently began selling the merch to offer customers a souvenir from the Italian eatery. “It’s just something to do that’s kind of fun now,” Camuglia told local ABC affiliate KOAT, which first reported the news.
The shirts and caps go for $20 and $25 a pop, respectively.
I feel like it's just a cute pun I don't think the intentions of the owners of the restaurantis to downplay or mock BLM, just use it as a catchy marketing phrase
Stupid logic
Your fave is a black woman who made her fortune through and industry created by white people, and so what?
So are all African-Americans who don't own black owned businesses, and if you know an OUNCE of American history, you'd know that your comparison is absolutely asinine.
