Divers Ingrid Oliveira, 20, and Giovanna Pedroso, 17, finished a dismal last in the women’s 10-metre synchronised diving and it is fair to say their preparations for the Rio games were far from harmonious.
According to reports in Brazil, ahead of the competition, Ingrid Oliveria kicked Giovanna Pedroso out of their room, in the Olympic Village, so she could have a saucy romp with canoeist Pedro Goncalves.
Pedroso, who is said to be furious with the incident, hasn’t discussed whether the rumours were true but has vowed not to compete with Oliveria again.
