Is it hypocritical for a African American in general to be anti towards any LGBTQ equality such as public bathroom usage, marriage, adoption, etc and use bible verses as their reasoning? When bible verses were being shouted to prevent interracial marriage and to protect slavery. Are they hypocritical? Or is their religion a valid reason?

Why not? I'm not white I'm Latino (Puerto Rican) so clearly I can relate to African Ameircans in general .

Yes, it doesn't really make sense for them to support oppression of a minority when they are trying to see the end of their own oppression.

I have this discussion with my other AA friends, along with hispanic, Asian, and White friends. There are some people on this forum (aka the OP, Mr. Deeds, etc.) who have proven themselves incapable of having such a discussion.

For me yes. But there are arguments for both sides.

It is both hypocritical for black people to be homophobic, and for gay people to be racist.

Both are disgusting and the scum of the earth.
