Katy Perry's Rise flop?
After made impressive debut in Billboard Hot 100 chart, the song's dropping like a falling stone, it's #43 now (at just its 3th week) (similar performances in Australia, France...)
In UK charts, it fell of after just 2 weeks

It's ok, tho. No one was really expecting Rise to smash. It would be worse if she released something like Roar and it underperformed like that.

it can't be a flop when it was never intended to be a smash. : )
it wasn't serviced to radio, there was no promo except for performing it at a political event. it's not a lead single it's a promo single.

this belongs in the base
+ no. It'll rise once again on the next chart. I wouldn't call it a smash either but it has only been out like a month

It's been hovering around the top 10 on iTunes since the video was released. It's doing fine.

It's an underperformance for her standards but you don't expect a song sounding like that to smash.

Didn't know Katy's standards on ATRL were so high

For Katy Perry's standards, yes. I expected her return to be a lot more successful. #11 isn't anything to scoff at though.

It's Top 10 on Itunes if I'm not wrong so it's underperforming, not flopping.

i can't wait to see the reasoning of how a soon-to-be-released song isn't a flop when it does worse than rise

It's a buzz single. Also, no promo.
