Ezra Miller: Suicide Squad's negative reviews motivate us
Quote:
“You needn’t look any further than the Suicide Squad director and cast response to the negative reviews to feel how negative critiques motivate us,” Miller said. “Ultimately, we can’t base anything on [the critical response]. As artists, we aim to please absolutely everybody with our work, but we also know that we have to keep expressing ourselves as best as we can express ourselves.”
As for the SKWAD haters, Miller had this to say: “It’s like that T.I. song, ‘Motivation.’”
DC, how about y'all make movies with stories that do not have convoluted plots, and that flow properly from scene to scene and not an edited ****ing MESS? How about that?
I mean, this is a good attitude to have tbh. Maybe if they keep flopping and getting universally panned, one day that motivation will build into something actually remotely watchable.
Suicide Squad is great. Despite what the bandwagon haters say

Suicide Squad did score a "B+" CinemaScore, which is slightly higher than Batman v Superman's "B", but that's hardly enough to make much of a difference. It's current 7.1 rating on IMDb is, however, lower than the 7.5 Batman v Superman had at the same point in its release cycle as audiences seem to be having a similar reaction to the film as they did its DC predecessor. From an audience perspective, the audience was 54% male vs. 46% female with women rating the film an "A-" on the CinemaScore scale versus a "B+" from the men. Interestingly enough, IMDb's user voting currently shows a similar trend with females scoring the film 7.3 vs. males scoring it with a 6.9. Additionally, 54% of the audience was under the age of 25 and 76% of the audience was under the age of 35.
It isn't bandwagon. Audiences didn't like it at all.
