Kansas House of Representative lawmaker, Scott Schwab of Olathe, lost his son on the Schlitterbahn waterpark in Kansas City, Kansas on Sunday.
“Michele and I want to thank the Olathe and Kansas City, Kansas communities and all of our friends and family for their outpouring of support and compassion as it relates to the sudden loss of our son, Caleb Thomas Schwab,” said Schwab. “Since the day he was born, he brought abundant joy to our family and all those he came in contact with. As we try to mend our home with him no longer with us, we are comforted knowing he believed in our Savior Jesus, and they are forever together now. We will see him another day. Your continued prayers are welcome and appreciated. We appreciate your understanding of our family’s need for privacy during this difficult time of grieving.”

Kansas City, Kansas Police Chief Terry Zeigler says officers are on the scene of an accidental death at the Schlitterbahn water park.
The accident happened around 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon. A 10-year-old boy has died, according to police.
Police confirm it was an accidental death.
“I don’t have all the details for you (media) at this time and we are working to get more details for you,” says Winter Prosapio, Schlitterbahn Corporate Communications. “Our focus is on the family right now.”
Schlitterbahn officials also confirm the boy was on the Verruckt water slide when he died. The Verruckt is billed as the tallest water slide in the world. It’s 17 stories high.
They are not releasing how the boy died at this time.
Omg apparantly the harnesses on the raft came out and his head got caught in the netting so it was a partial decapitation.
