What is something that triggers you to feel nostalgia?
Nelly Furtado's Say It Right brings me back to the mid 2000's every time I listen to this song. I think of Middle School I can't even listen to the song anymore cause it makes me feel weird.
Listening to Beyoncé's 4 brings back vivid memories of 2011 and when I was in 11th grade or that trip when the family went upstate and we listened to it in the car. I can even remember weird things like that being on tumblr in 2011 felt like with the images of quotes on faded pictures of random celebs, OBEY snapbacks and pictures from the "swag" era
When I hear All Star by Smash Mouth I watched Shrek a lot of times with my family, and now that I'm going off to university, All Star makes me miss them
The very first thing I thought of was "Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield but that's mostly because of it being the opening of the legendary show "The Hills."
Certain songs remind me of certain moments in my life. For example, K-pop from 2011-13 reminds me of like sophomore and junior year of high school. When I get nostalgic, it get it bad. I hate getting nostalgic because it hits me soo hard, but the worst is, is that i'm like always nostalgic.
Kelly's Breakaway era, that's when I really got into music, and I used to rush home from school everyday because 'Behind These Hazel Eyes' was always #1 on a daily countdown I watched.
