It's hard to describe this without sounding so sad, but the internet has really shaped who I am. I genuinely think I'd be such a different person without it. I'm sure the perceptions and different views I've read growing up with it has ensured I'm a liberal, and not a conservative like my parents are. The people I've met and social media sites like Twitter and Tumblr reinforced there is nothing wrong with being a homo, and all the coming out videos on YouTube gave me the courage to finally come out. I think I'd still be in the closet if the internet wasn't a thing. It's a weird thought, as the internet really isn't that old.

I did all my growing up before I stated using the internet.

I did, I was like 12/13 when I started using it, and it was great because we actually went OUTSIDE to play something. It makes me shake my head when I see a 2 year old with a tablet.

I would say "growing up" is when you start to find yourself: discover your first world views, your sexuality, become more educated...

So from the age of puberty to 18/19 so I'd guess.

I'd be smarter, closeted for the rest of my life though which is awful

- I'd have done better in school, and not in need to re-do my final highschool exams so I can have the freedom to choose my preferred degree.
- I wouldn't have been educated about the world
- I would've sucked at English, and never found the job that I have now
- I wouldn't have known what my goals in life truly are

I wouldn't be much different I think.

I didn't use the internet often until I was about 9 or 10 because MSN/Myspace/Facebook and my personality was already pretty much there.

I would've had my head in a book 24/7 like I did before age 12 tbh

Agreed about schoolwork. Ultimately I don't think my goals or personality would be that different, just how I spent my free time.

I wouldnt know ingirisu this good, I would have friends and my eyesight, and wouldnt be such self-absorbed. But I would not change my english knowlege for anything else and that is the only thing that matters..

Our family didn't get a computer until I was like 10, so I guess I might have been a bit late to the internet? idk

I would be more ignorant and very uncomfortable in myself, I think.

On the flip side I'll be harder working and more productive.
