It's hard to describe this without sounding so sad, but the internet has really shaped who I am. I genuinely think I'd be
such a different person without it. I'm sure the perceptions and different views I've read growing up with it has ensured I'm a liberal, and not a conservative like my parents are. The people I've met and social media sites like Twitter and Tumblr reinforced there is nothing wrong with being a homo, and all the coming out videos on YouTube gave me the courage to finally come out. I think I'd still be in the closet if the internet wasn't a thing. It's a weird thought, as the internet really isn't that old.
What about you guys?
EDIT: I MEAN GROWING UP IN TERMS OF WORLD VIEWS SEXUALITY EDUCATION INFLUENCES ETC AND ALL THAT JAZZ GUYS NOT WHEN YOU WERE FIVE
