It got pretty good reviews and a Metacritic score of 70, so why does ATRL call it "the worst album of 2016" etc?

Not sure, it sounds like it would be right up ATRL's alley.

They did? I thought it was pretty mixed opinions here.

Also, there are just some people who just don't like Fifth Harmony, so that's the biggest factor

Besides No Way, and the two singles, the album is trash. A 'sophomore slump'.

In my opinion, it's a terrible, poorly produced, flat album with few standout tracks. It's all subjective of course

As for the MC score, it's not worth paying attention to when they only have 7 critics, 3 of which give positive scores to literally everything.

But if you're happy with the album and you bop to it, you shouldn't care

Because people think it's so easy to drag their bad first week sales with it. ATRL has something against singles' artists.

It's the definition of a sophomore slump. It just sounds rushed, flat and boring. Only a couple songs on it are actually fun to listen to.

Because its flopping and underperforming. ATRL in general loves successful albums

I don't know, it's so much better than Reflection which sounds messy and demo-like. The best album of 2016 so far

I don't think it's that bad but I only ended up downloading 5 songs:
That's My Girl, Dope, Flex, Gonna Get Better & I Lied (I don't even use the last two anymore).

Cause it flopped. ATRL didnt like/use WFH either, weeks after they were like "omg what a bop".

Because ATRL only enjoys stuff that has huge sales. They should add a B in the title - B for bandwagoning.

Expose ATRL

It's a great album, just compared with Reflection.... 7/27 has a few very strong single choices, whereas Reflection we could argue for almost any song to be a single.

ATRL was taken aback at Work From Home being one of the most successful global singles of the year and biggest on VEVO, outdoing all of their faves. They needed something to drag them with so once they saw that sales prediction they hopped on the "WORST ALBUM EVR!1!!!" train when it wasn't even the worst released that week. WFH, Flex, That's My Girl, No Way, Dope are all excellent and The Life, I Lied, Write On Me, and Not That Kinda Girl are good and listenable. There's a couple duds but there are on practically all albums so it's just ATRL once again siding with whatever sells, hence why 25 is regarded as one of the best albums of the decade on here when it isn't and they just like its big sales number.

It's a grower and it flopped
