Thousands will gather to call for Merkel's resignation today as she faces unprecedented pressure over the 'open door' immigration policy that many blame for recent terrorist attacks.
More than 5,000 people are expected in Berlin and thousands in other major cities and towns throughout Germany, which remains on high alert after the ISIS-inspired attacks.
The attacks led to fierce criticism over Merkel's immigration policy, which has seen 1.1million migrants and refugees enter Germany last year, many fleeing civil war and persecution in Syria.

Merkel faced fresh fury over the 'open door' policy after it emerged that two recent terror attacks and a third killing were carried out by men who entered the country as refugees.
The German Chancellor's premiership now hangs by a thread as thousands gather to call for her resignation amid a wave of public opinion that she has ruined Germany.
'Merkel must go' has been trending on social media, with people posting powerful pictures including one claiming that she has blood on her hands after recent attacks.

Recent attacks have fuelled the right-wing movement, which has long called for stricter immigration controls, particularly in Bavaria, where she faces heavy criticism from high-profile politicians.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees — which refers refugees for resettlement in other countries — says there are more than 4 million registered Syrian refugees. Its figures on the demographic makeup of refugees is based on available data on the 2.1 million who were registered by the UNHCR in Egypt, Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon. (Another 1.9 million Syrian refugees were registered by the Government of Turkey, and more than 24,000 were registered in North Africa.)
UNHCR’s data show that 50.5 percent of refugees are women. Females age 18 to 59 make up 23.9 percent of the refugees, while males in that age group make up 21.8 percent. Even younger males — age 12 to 17 — represent 6.5 percent of refugees, while females that age are 6.1 percent. The majority of refugees — 51.1 percent — are under age 17, including 38.5 percent who are younger than 12 years old. These numbers were as of Sept. 6.
I actually thought the attacks were done by German born citizens with a mixed background. Could someone kindly link to the immigrants who attacked and killed. Also, its sad, that the innocent Syrian women and children will suffer under hate and discrimination, due to this cruel criminals.
Edit: Some of the killers come from stable countries, so this anti-immigrant sentiment isn't fair, especially for Syrians.
